Day sail from Concarneau to Quiberon, France (Nov 16):

43.2nm

7hrs

Moderate winds. Cloudy, but no rain.

We cast the lines at around 8am, leaving just 15minutes before our friends on their 50ft Cat, Chiquita. We were thinking that we got good headway and that it was fun to be in the lead of a cat, but they quickly caught up with us and passed us by! Fun to sail together, though!

After a short day of school, we took the boys on a walk with our buddy boat friends (@blackie6 & @dmitrievaanna) on Chiquita.

Dramatic scenery once again with a dash of artwork, and we had it all to ourselves! Lock-down made it feel like a ghost -town!

Sailing here yesterday, we had to pass the isthmus of Penthièvre & arrived on the Quiberon peninsula in Morbihan. It is a dream setting between two seas with breathtaking landscapes: on one side, the Atlantic Ocean and its wild coast, on the other, the bay of Quiberon and its fine sandy beaches.

We were warmly greeted by our buddy boat who saved a place for us right next to them!🙌
Their boat neighbors on the other side kindly offered to lend their car to then to do some grocery shopping 😮! So, Sergey invited Eivind to go with him.

I’m telling you, sailors are some of the friendliest, most helpful people I’ve ever met👌⛵️

On to our next destination further south tomorrow!👋We felt pretty lucky.
